Air-Sealing with Open Cell Foam Insulation

For this Bluffton home, we applied 3.5 inches of open cell foam insulation in the walls and 5 inches on the roof. This open cell foam not only acts as an effective insulator but also as an air barrier, blocking outside air from seeping in. By sealing the home with open cell foam, we can help the homeowners reduce energy costs, maintain a more consistent indoor temperature, and even improve indoor air quality.

Protecting Every Detail

Our team doesn’t just spray and go. We take extra care to prepare each area before installation. In this project, all windows and doors were carefully prepped and covered with protective plastic to avoid any overspray. We also seal around every window and door seam, creating a robust barrier against unwanted drafts. In the bonus room above the garage, our team air-sealed the ceiling, prepping it for future use.
